Privacy Policy

Smart File Organizer ("the App") is built to help you automatically organize files on your device. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

The App is designed to work 100% offline. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers.
• We do not upload your files or file names to any server.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone.

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Organization rules - the rules you create to sort files.
• File move history - a log of which files were moved and where, so you can undo moves.
• ML training samples - basic file metadata (extension, file name, size, assigned category) used to improve the local machine-learning classifier. No file contents are read.
• App preferences - your settings such as scan interval, theme selection, and notification preferences.

All of this data resides in a local database and preferences file on your device. Uninstalling the App removes all stored data.

The App requests the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission (or equivalent on older Android versions) to:

• Scan your Downloads folder (and any folders you add to the watchlist) for files to organize.
• Move files from one folder to another on your device.
• Analyze storage usage, find large files, and detect duplicates.

The App never reads file contents. It only inspects file metadata (name, extension, size, last-modified date) to apply organization rules and ML classification.

The only third-party service used by the App is Google AdMob for serving advertisements. No other third-party analytics, crash reporting, or tracking services are integrated.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

All data stored by the App remains on your device and is protected by your device's own security measures (lock screen, encryption). The App does not transmit data over the internet except for ad-related network requests handled by Google AdMob.

• Revoke permissions - You can revoke storage access at any time in your device's Settings, which will prevent the App from organizing files.
• Clear data - You can clear the App's data from Settings > Apps > Smart File Organizer > Clear Data to remove all locally stored rules, history, and ML models.
• Uninstall - Removing the App deletes all associated data from your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
